Our adult general medicine ward is situated on the floor above the isolation ward. The main access is directly on a concrete bridge from the side of the hill so there are no stairs involved.
The ward cares for patients with a wide range of medical problems including cardiac failure, hypertension, stroke, ascites, nephrotic syndrome etc as well as common problems such as pneumonia. More serious contagious diseases are moved to cubicles in the Isolation Ward.
There is a designated high-dependency area where there is more equipment for monitoring patients.
